A legacy nestled in the heart of the central highlands.
Laxapana is shaped by dramatic waterfalls, fertile soils and the cool climate of Ceylon’s highlands. Its distinctive elevation creates teas with a bold aroma, balanced character and full bodied flavour, reflecting the richness of the landscape in every cup.
Set near the powerful Laxapana Falls, the estate carries a tea growing heritage that spans more than a century. Its cool climate and distinctive landscape shape bold, full bodied black teas with remarkable depth and character. Rooted in tradition and guided by responsible cultivation, Laxapana continues to honour the craftsmanship and heritage of Ceylon Tea.
Every cup begins among the slopes of Laxapana, where waterfalls, fertile soils and the cool air of Ceylon’s highlands shape the leaf long before it reaches the factory.
Laxapana is shaped by dramatic waterfalls, fertile soils and the cool climate of Ceylon’s highlands, and its elevation sets the conditions the estate’s tea bushes grow in.
Tender young leaves are selectively harvested by hand, so the quality of a tea is decided on the slope long before it reaches the factory.
The highland year turns between cooler, drier months and heavier rain, and each harvest carries something of the weather it grew through, in subtle shifts of aroma and character from one picking to the next.
